Ivanka Trump Breaks Her Silence, Posts Special Message After Guilty Verdict

Ivanka Trump is the latest family member to speak out about Thursday’s verdict against her father in his criminal hush money trial.

In just four words, the former first daughter brought everything home for her followers on Instagram, reminding them that the family of former President Donald Trump will always be by his side no matter what Democratic prosecutors throw at him. “I love you dad ❤️” she wrote, according to the Western Journal. The reel-style post was accompanied by a throwback photo of Trump holding her as a little girl.

The best-selling millennial author and entrepreneur hasn’t taken as high-profile role in the Trump campaign as her brothers Eric and Donald Jr. may have, but she is nonetheless closely watching developments like Thursday’s conviction against President Trump on 34 counts. A source close to Ivanka who spoke with the New York Post added, “Ivanka is fully supportive of her dad and loves him very much despite his conviction.”

Ivanka Trump, 42, who is married to former White House advisor Jared Kushner, was not spared by the former president’s critics as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg began preparing last year to take his case to trial. In December a source speaking with the New Republican said House Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) had been persistently gathering info on the Trumps. The source indicated that Democratic investigators have compiled a substantial 400-page dossier focused on the personal financial activities of the young power couple. Among their perceived transgressions are making several million dollars from the Trump Organization’s real estate empire.

A Democratic source, speaking with the outlet about the investigation of Ivanka, said: “Additional investigations of Trump would damage or influence his political prospects.” The article added, “Democrats on both sides of Capitol Hill are ‘keeping their powder dry’ so that if they do decide to seriously engage in scandalmongering regarding the finances of Trump and offspring, they could do so at a ‘more effective point’ during the forthcoming presidential campaign.”

Mainstream media outlets immediately pounced on Trump’s felony conviction as they rushed to speculate whether it would hurt or help the Republican in November’s election. Pollsters are equally racing to determine whether previous findings showing most voters are agnostic about Trump’s legal fortunes must be reevaluated.

In addition to Ivanka, Trump may rely on his wife and former First Lady Melania while she takes on an increasingly public profile with his campaign. Their son Barron, who recently graduated high school, also has time to be at his father’s side before heading off to college in the spring.

Trump did not let the verdict get him down on Thursday evening. “It was a rigged trial, it was a disgrace,” Trump declared outside the courtroom. “The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people. They know what happened here. I am a very innocent man.” Trump vehemently denounced the proceedings as “a rigged, disgraceful trial” influenced by political motivations. He then accused the judge of being “corrupt” and lamented the trial’s location in a district where he claimed to have minimal support. “We were at 5 percent or 6 percent in this district, in this area,” Trump stated.
