Jen Psaki Compares Unborn Babies To Lumps Of Coal In Sickening Rant

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki made headlines with a controversial analogy comparing unborn babies to lumps of coal and broccoli. The comments came amidst a discussion on the rebranding of the pro-life movement.

On her MSNBC show, she said, “Pro-life now becomes, in the words of Indiana Senator Todd Young, pro-baby. Pro-baby. I hate to break it to you, but if you call broccoli candy, it’s still just broccoli. If you tie a really nice bow around a lump of coal, it is still coal under there.”

Psaki was referring to a NBC report that Democrats and affiliated organizations have voiced their concerns over Republicans’ strategic move from “pro-life” rhetoric on abortion.

The change comes in the wake of several electoral defeats for the GOP surrounding abortion.

Last week, the head of a super PAC closely associated with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell presented poll results indicating that voters’ perceptions of terms like “pro-life” and “pro-choice” have evolved since the Supreme Court’s decision last year that overturned Roe v. Wade.

The poll revealed that the term “pro-life,” which has been predominantly used by the anti-abortion movement for the past five decades, is no longer resonating with voters.
