JUST IN: Border Patrol Union Fact Checks Joe Biden

Published

on

In a dramatic moment during the CNN presidential debate held in Atlanta, President Joe Biden claimed that he had the endorsement of the Border Patrol for his immigration policies. The statement quickly drew backlash and a swift response from the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC).

During the debate, the discussion between Biden and former President Donald Trump became particularly heated over issues of immigration and border security. Biden went on to claim, “We significantly increased the number of asylum officers. Significantly, by the way, the Border Patrol endorsed me, endorsed my position.”

However, shortly after these remarks, the Border Patrol Union took to X to refute the President’s claim. In a clear and direct tweet, the NBPC stated, “To be clear, we never have and never will endorse Biden.”

A source close to POLITICO claimed that Biden’s uneven performance during the debate can be attributed to a cold—something that hadn’t been disclosed to reporters before his rambling responses.
