JUST IN: Democrat Politician ARRESTED For Absurd Race Hoax

A Texas Democratic candidate and former Biden appointee has been arrested for allegedly using various social media accounts to make racist posts about himself online.

Taral Patel, 30, a candidate for county commissioner in Fort Bend, TX, was charged and brought in last week after his opponent, incumbent Andy Meyers, initiated an investigation after Patel claimed that his supporters were hurling race-based insults at him on social media platforms. A probe by the Fort Bend District Attorney’s Office began last October after Patel posted on Facebook that he and his family were the targets of a smear campaign.

“As your Democratic candidate for County Commissioner, I am always open to criticism of my policy positions and stances on issues. However, when my Republican opponents supporters’ decide to hurl #racist, #anti-immigrant, #Hinduphobic, or otherwise disgusting insults at my family, faith community, colleagues, and me – that crosses a line,” he wrote at the time. “Fort Bend County’s diversity has made us all stronger, and these hateful images… are from a place of deep and misguided fear – incited by people like former President Donald Trump and today’s extremist Republican party fear that immigrants are ‘taking their jobs’ and setting out to hurt our own communities.”

The New York Post reported that some of the attacks on Patel, who is Indian and Hindhu, referred to him as a “monkey” and “subhuman.”

Shortly after President Joe Biden took office, Patel took on a number of high-profile roles that he has leveraged to benefit his campaign, according to his political website. He worked in the Public Integrity Section of the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division and was appointed by the president to serve in the Office of White House Liaison, as well as the White House Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Committee.

Meyers told a local ABC affiliate that he became suspicious about the hateful posts after he recognized one account with the name “Antonio Scalywag” which had also directed attacks at him in the past. Investigators sent subpoenas to Facebook and Google, which provided the data directing them back to Patel, including his address, phone number, and bank and card information.

Patel was arrested by the Texas Rangers last week and charged with felony impersonation and a Class A misdemeanor charge for misrepresentation of identity, the Post added. He posted $22,500 for both charges and is due back in court on July 22nd.

The former diversity appointee now joins a growing list of young Biden-adjacent political operatives who have been charged with crimes or fired for making hateful posts online. In 2021, Sam Brinton, a non-binary former Department of Energy appointee, was fired after it was discovered that he used his post to gain access to the luggage sorting area of an airport in order to steal women’s clothing. He has since been charged with felony grand larceny.

Nejwa Ali, a former spokeswoman for Biden’s Department of Homeland Security, was fired after online sleuths discovered she was formerly a spokeswoman for the Palestinian Liberation Organization, which has praised the October 7th, 2023 attack on Israel.
