JUST IN: Fox News APOLOGIZES For Chyron Hitting Biden As ‘Wannabe Dictator’

In a recent development, Fox News has issued a statement acknowledging and apologizing for a chyron that ran during former President Trump’s post-indictment remarks, which referred to President Biden as a “wannabe dictator.”

The chyron, which read “WANNABE DICTATOR SPEAKS AT THE WHITE HOUSE AFTER HAVING HIS POLITICAL RIVAL ARRESTED,” was displayed just before 9 p.m. during the network’s live coverage of Trump’s remarks.

The chyron was rapidly removed, however, and Fox News told the The Hill in a statement on Wednesday that “the chyron was taken down immediately and was addressed.”

The chyron appeared on a divided screen, showcasing Biden delivering his speech from the White House on one portion, and Trump offering his remarks from his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club on the other. Fox News, diverging from its counterparts CNN and MSNBC, aired Trump’s commentary live and uninterrupted. In his address, Trump claimed that Biden was using the Department of Justice to neutralize his main political adversary.

This event transpired following Trump’s arraignment on 37 charges related to his management of classified documents post-presidency. Trump, the leading contender for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, has proclaimed his innocence against all charges.

As Fox News fully broadcasted Trump’s remarks after his unprecedented arraignment, other networks like CNN and MSNBC did not. But the channel’s choice to tag Biden as a “wannabe dictator” in its chyron and then apologize for the move has ignited another controversy, especially among the network’s viewers. Fox has been at the center of conservative backlash over recent months since letting Tucker Carlson go.
