JUST IN: Hannity To Host Pence During Trump’s CNN Town Hall

Former Vice President Mike Pence will be appearing on Sean Hannity’s show tonight at the same time as Donald Trump’s CNN town hall. The timing of the former veep’s visit to Fox is reportedly a “deliberate scheduling” move by Pence’s team and is sure to set off a storm of controversy.

Pence’s appearance on Hannity’s show will be an opportunity for the former Vice President to address the concerns of the American people, as well as his role in the 2020 Presidential Election. With Trump’s town hall on CNN sure to be a ratings hit, Fox News – much like Pence – is looking to gain a momentum boost.

Earlier this week, Trump had expressed skepticism about the upcoming event, given his longstanding feud with CNN. Despite their contentious history, however, both parties stand to gain from the event. For Trump, it’s a chance to promote his campaign to a national audience, while CNN can potentially boost its ratings and rehabilitate its image with Trump’s supporters. The event is highly anticipated, and all eyes will be on Trump and CNN.

The relationship between Trump and Pence was initially strong during Trump’s first term in office. However, it became strained after the 2020 Presidential Election.

Since leaving office, Trump has continued to criticize Pence, but Pence has largely stayed out of the public eye and has not responded directly.

In April, Trump sought to prevent Pence from testifying in the federal grand jury investigation into his role in the efforts to investigate the 2020 election. This came after Pence had initially agreed to comply with a federal judge’s order to testify.
