JUST IN: Key Oversight Democrat Admits Hunter Biden Transferred Money To Family Members

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, admitted in an interview with NewsNation’s “Cuomo” (featuring Chris Cuomo, the brother of former New York governor Andrew Cuomo) that Hunter Biden transferred money that he got in business deals to family members but denied that there was anything corrupt or that there was any evidence of Joe Biden receiving any of these payments according to Breitbart News. Representative Raskin claimed that Republicans were trying to set up a false equivalency between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

He further ironically said that there were two philosophies in government with one party seeing government as an instrument of the public good versus the other party seeing government as a means of self-enrichment for themselves and their family. While Raskin was trying to argue that Republicans fit the latter description,  it is the Biden family that stands accused by Republicans of the latter.

Representative Raskin first tried to cover for all the Bidens when he said that Joe Biden and his family have been honest about Hunter Biden’s past drug abuse and that one does “really deranged things” under the influence and firmly denied that there was anything else there to the story. He then tripped up by saying that Republicans had not found anything there but if they did he would be open to ask questions about it. Chris Cuomo then mentioned that Hunter sending money to family members might fit that bill.

“As far as I know, Hunter Biden made a bunch of business deals, which is lawful, which a lot of family members have done, Republican, Democrat, other political families, they’ve done the same thing. And he had it — the money diverted into different funds. I don’t know there’s an allegation of any crime there, but what is the crime that’s being asserted?” said Raskin.

Cuomo then pressed Raskin by inquiring “Well, you don’t find it curious that multiple members of the Biden family…received payments from corporations, foreign corporations, when we don’t know whether or not they’re in any kind of consulting business, isn’t that of concern?”

Raskin then admitted, “The only ones I’m aware of being alleged are ones where Hunter Biden got payments. He was able to insinuate himself into a situation where he was getting paid and then he had the payments directed to different accounts and in the names of different people, including children or babies. I don’t think those babies were involved in political corruption. I think Hunter Biden was obviously trying to divert the different kinds of money that he had coming in. That’s my best understanding of that situation. Again, none of it touches President Biden.”

This admission appears to not touch on the correspondence that Hunter received that demanded he refill his bank account with money to autopay bills, including a bill marked out as Joe Biden’s AT&T bill. Hunter and Joe Biden shared a bank account.

The chairman of the Oversight Committee, James Comer (R-KY) recently observed a pattern where “the Bidens received millions from oligarchs in Russia, Kazakhstan, & Ukraine while Joe Biden was VP. After Hunter received millions, VP Biden dined with these oligarchs in DC.”
