JUST IN: Speaker McCarthy Says Congress Will Hold AG Alvin Bragg Accountable

Published

on

After Tuesday’s arraignment on former President Trump, Speaker Kevin McCarthy went to Twitter to voice his frustration and vowed to hold Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg accountable.

McCarthy wrote, “Alvin Bragg is attempting to interfere in our democratic process by invoking federal law to bring politicized charges against President Trump, admittedly using federal funds, while at the same time arguing that the peoples’ representatives in Congress lack jurisdiction to investigate this farce.

“Not so. Bragg’s weaponization of the federal justice process will be held accountable by Congress.”

Tuesday’s events seemed underwhelming for those with hopes of continuing to persecute Trump. GOP lawmakers seem intent on defending our nation’s legal system and stopping Bragg from potential election interference.

McCarthy has been consistent with his criticism of Bragg, here is a Tweet from March bashing the DA.
