JUST IN: Biden FBI Targeted Charlie Kirk, Other Right-Wing Figures

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) revealed during an explosive committee hearing Tuesday — which was headlined by testimony from FBI Director Kash Patel — that the Biden-controlled FBI opened investigations into at least 92 prominent conservative figures and organizations, including Turning Point USA. The frivolous cases then played a significant role in crafting Special Counsel Jack Smith’s controversial alternate electors case, which was tossed before ever going to trial.

“Now, well, it’s well understood that your predecessor left you and the FBI infected with politics. I’m going to provide examples of that today, including making public new whistleblower records,” Grassley said.

The chairman then pointed to documents he introduced during Director Patel’s confirmation hearing, which dealt with Operation Arctic Frost, the Wray-led FBI’s codename for a far-reaching investigation into the Biden Administration’s political opponents. The investigation – launched by anti-Trump FBI agent Timothy Thibault in a breach of FBI protocol – formed the basis of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s elector case against Trump, the committee explained in a press release back in March.

Upon opening the investigation, Thibault vowed it would be “prioritized over all others in the Branch” and commented that “it frankly took too long for us to open this [investigation].”

Within weeks of launching the investigation in early 2022, senior FBI leadership immediately set up meetings with 13 field offices and immediately moved to seize communications between President Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence. They also sought to obtain all communications between the administration and alternate electors in key swing states, as well as senior administration advisors and campaign officials.

During Tuesday’s hearing, Grassley revealed that the scope of Operation Arctic Frost was much more far-reaching than previously known. “These new records show that Arctic Frost was much broader than just an electoral matter. The case was expanded to Republican organizations,” he said.

“Some examples of the group that the Wray FBI sought to place under political investigation included the Republican National Committee, Republican Attorney General’s Association, and various Trump political groups. In total, 92 Republican targets, including Republican groups and Republican linked individuals, were placed under investigative scope of Arctic Frost.”

The investigative scope also extended to prominent campus conservative activist Charlie Kirk and his student activist organization Turning Point USA, the senator added. “In other words, Arctic Frost wasn’t just a case to politically investigate Trump. It was the vehicle. by which partisan FBI agents and Department of Justice prosecutors could achieve their partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus. So today, Senator [Ron] Johnson and I are making these records public for the entire country to see, and I hope a lot of people are interested in seeing what government can do when various agencies have a political agenda.”

Grassley added that he will be filing for the release of all documents immediately following the hearing, including an official communication in which Thibault celebrated the protection of Trump tree advisor Peter Navarro.

“Through whistleblowers, I’ve obtained an audio recording of Special Agent Gia Gardena and Special Agent Sebastian Gardner’s delivery of a subpoena to Navarro. I’m making that audio public today,” he added.
