Marjorie Taylor Greene Attacked By ‘Insane’ Woman at Restaurant

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said she was “attacked” by a “completely out of control” and “insane” woman while dining at a restaurant Monday night.

Greene said this woman who attacked her also had her son yell and harass the Georgia Republican. Rep. Greene claimed she was minding her own business and “was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons.”

The Georgia congresswoman called her attackers “self righteous, insane, and completely out of control,” and suggested they “had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views.”

“People used to respect others even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone,” Greene lamented in a tweet posted late Monday.

The fiery Georgia Republican is no stranger to physical attacks or violent threats. Earlier this month, a 51-year-old man from New York plead guilty to leaving multiple voicemails on Greene’s phone where he threatened to hurt her, The Hill reported.

“I just don’t think I can go on letting you, you know, cause hatred and poison to people. I really think I’m gonna have to cause you harm — physical harm,” one voicemail began.  “l’m gonna have to take your life into my own hands. I’m gonna hurt you. Physically, I’m gonna harm you,” the man, Joseph Francis Morelli added.

In a different voicemail, Morelli told the congresswoman he was going to “pay someone 500 bucks to take a baseball bat and crack your skull.” A third voicemail from Morelli detailed how he would “make sure that, even if they lock me up, someone’s gonna get you ’cause I’ll pay them to.”

Morelli is facing a maximum fine of $250,000 and up to 5 years in prison. He will be sentenced on June 1.
