Meghan Markle’s Father Accused Of Sickening Crime By His Own Son

Meghan Markle’s family has been rocked by explosive allegations after her half-brother accused their father, Thomas Markle Sr., of possessing child sexual abuse material, triggering a police investigation in the Philippines.

The Duchess of Sussex, 45, broke her silence Friday, revealing that she had been warned about troubling allegations involving her father as far back as 2018.

Meghan said the accusations played a role in her decision to keep her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, away from their grandfather.

‘I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed.

‘In 2018, a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection. That letter was subsequently shared with me. It made troubling and disturbing allegations against my father and I was given assurances that these were being investigated.

‘I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them.

‘I trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families.

‘Although the breadth of what has now been uncovered is more sickening than one could ever imagine, my sincerest hope is that justice will be fully served and that the priority remains the safety and protection of innocent children.’

The extraordinary statement follows allegations from Thomas Markle Jr., 60, who claims he discovered hundreds of disturbing images on electronic devices belonging to his father.

According to The Sun, Thomas Jr. said he made the discovery in July while searching through storage boxes in the Philippines.

He claimed a cellphone contained an explicit image involving a child and that a computer displayed numerous similar images.

The allegations have not been proven, and investigators have not publicly established who obtained or downloaded the alleged material.

Thomas Markle Sr., 82, has vehemently denied the accusations, describing them as ‘sick lies.’

Speaking from a Florida rehabilitation facility, the former Hollywood lighting director insisted he had never possessed or downloaded such material.

‘I’m shocked, I’m hurt and I’m very upset that my son is making these accusations against me. I could never do what I’m being accused of. It’s the worst thing anyone could accuse me of.

‘This is bulls***. It’s just a bunch of lies. It’s sick. I have no idea why Tom is trying to destroy me with these lies.’

Thomas Sr. disputed his son’s account of the computers, claiming the devices had been packed away when they moved from Mexico to the Philippines in January 2025.

He maintained that he repeatedly requested access to the computers but never received them.

‘Those computers were boxed up in Mexico and put on a cargo ship which took months to get to the Philippines. I kept asking Tom for my computers but he wouldn’t give them to me.’

Thomas Sr. said he would welcome a forensic examination to determine when the alleged material was placed on the devices and who had access to them.

Meanwhile, police in Cebu have launched an investigation after Thomas Jr. presented the allegations to local authorities.

The family dispute has also drawn in Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, who fiercely defended their father and accused Thomas Jr. of fabricating the claims for financial reasons.

Samantha alleged that tensions escalated after her brother lost access to financial support from their father. Those accusations have not been independently verified.

‘There is no merit in these disgusting allegations whatsoever and my brother is disgusting for making them up. He wants to destroy our dad. Shame on him.’

The scandal comes as Thomas Sr. battles serious health problems, including complications from a blood clot that resulted in the amputation of his left leg below the knee last December.

He has also undergone additional cardiac treatment and remains in rehabilitation while learning to walk with a prosthetic limb.

Meghan and her father have been estranged since her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, when controversy erupted over staged paparazzi photographs.

The duchess’s latest statement, however, suggests her decision to maintain that distance involved concerns she had not previously disclosed publicly.

Thomas Sr. continues to deny wrongdoing and says he wants investigators to examine the evidence.

‘I’m angry, I’m hurt and I want the world to know these are terrible lies.’

For now, the allegations remain under investigation, with no publicly reported finding establishing Thomas Sr.’s guilt.
