In a bombshell accusation, Joe Biden’s very own former stenographer unleashed a devastating critique of the president, alleging deep-seated corruption tied to a Ukrainian energy giant.
In a new publication, Mike McCormick, a former stenographer for Biden, presented a scathing indictment of the president’s involvement in criminal activities, specifically focusing on a purported kickback scheme with Ukrainian energy company Burisma. McCormick, who traveled globally with Biden, including trips to Ukraine, has released a book titled “The Case to Impeach and Imprison Joe Biden,” offering a comprehensive account to date of the allegations.
McCormick’s insights are drawn from his unique vantage point as Biden’s stenographer from 2011 to 2017, a role that granted him close access to the then-vice president, as well as from an exhaustive review of the contents found on Hunter Biden’s laptop. These sources, McCormick claimed, have enabled him to piece together the details of a scheme that involved U.S. funding directed towards Burisma in exchange for placing Hunter Biden on the company’s board of directors.
“When I worked for him, I thought Joe was harmless — egotistical, buffoonish, and unpresidential, but harmless,” McCormick wrote according to Townhall. “Now I think of him as an evil criminal who should be impeached and imprisoned.”
The book alleges that during a 2014 trip to Poland, McCormick personally witnessed Biden negotiating this scheme, a claim bolstered by his detailed study and cross-referencing of Hunter Biden’s emails. The emails are said to reveal not just the financial transactions benefiting the Bidens but also suggest a level of strategic involvement and manipulation by close associates that Hunter himself was unlikely to author due to intellectual limitations.
McCormick’s assertions extend beyond financial improprieties, touching on themes of corruption and misuse of power. He argued that Biden’s actions, far from the harmless or buffoonish demeanor sometimes attributed to him, actually constitute serious criminal conduct warranting impeachment and imprisonment. Among the evidence cited are alterations in official communications to disguise the true nature of U.S. energy assistance to Ukraine and the direct financial benefits received by the Bidens, which McCormick claims were never properly investigated.
In April 2014, Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma Holdings. His appointment to the board raised eyebrows due to his lack of prior experience in the energy sector and the ongoing political and military tensions in Ukraine. Hunter’s role at Burisma reportedly involved consulting on legal issues and corporate governance, and he was compensated significantly for his services. At the time of his appointment, Ukraine was undergoing significant political upheaval. The country was in the midst of a crisis following Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the start of a conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
The U.S. government, under President Barack Obama, with Joe Biden as Vice President, was actively involved in foreign policy efforts in the region, supporting the Ukrainian government against Russian aggression. The situation gained heightened attention during the 2020 U.S. presidential election campaign. Former President Donald Trump and his allies frequently cited Hunter’s Burisma connection as evidence of alleged corruption by the Biden family. This culminated in the first impeachment of Trump, who was accused of withholding military aid to Ukraine to pressure the Ukrainian government into investigating the Bidens.
The publication of McCormick’s book comes amid a climate of intense political division and scrutiny of the Biden family’s business dealings. While McCormick has reported his findings to the FBI, he noted a lack of follow-through in terms of formal testimony or serious investigation by authorities. This, he suggested, points to a “two-tiered justice system” where political elites are shielded from the consequences of their actions.
McCormick’s previous works, including “Joe Biden Unauthorized: And the 2020 Crackup of the Democratic Party” and “Fifteen Years A Deplorable: A White House Memoir,” alongside the newly released book, aim to shed light on what he views as a disturbing pattern of behavior and governance.
