NEW: Comer Just CANCELED The Vote To Hold FBI’s Wray In Contempt; Here’s Why

House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) has canceled a planned contempt of Congress vote against FBI Director Christopher Wray following the Bureau’s decision to let all members of the committee view a document alleging President Joe Biden participated in a $5 million criminal enterprise.

According to sources speaking with Fox News, all members of the Oversight Committee will be allowed to view the 1023 form in a secure location. The Bureau-generated form is used to collect information gleaned from sources, including from an individual who alleges a Ukrainian business official was at the center of a plot to bribe the then-Vice President in order to smooth the way for Hunter Biden’s business dealings in the country.

In addition to the 1023 form, two other documents mentioned in the 1023 will be made available to Rep. Comer and ranking Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD).

In reaction, Rep. Comer accepted the agreement with the FBI and canceled a planned contempt vote for Thursday.

“After weeks of refusing to even admit the FD-1023 record exists, the FBI has caved and is now allowing all members of the Oversight and Accountability Committee to review this unclassified record that memorializes a confidential human source’s conversations with a foreign national who claimed to have bribed then-Vice President Joe Biden,” Comer said in a statement following the decision.

“Americans have lost trust in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially and demand answers, transparency, and accountability. Allowing all Oversight Committee members to review this record is an important step toward conducting oversight of the FBI and holding it accountable to the American people,” Comer added.

Bribery allegations against President Biden stretch as far back as 2016 and continued for several years when the informant returned to the FBI to again press his case for corruption by Biden. Rep. Comer maintains that the investigation into the veracity of the claims made in the 1023 form is not yet closed.

“The allegations contained within this record track closely with the Oversight Committee’s investigation of the Biden family’s influence peddling schemes. The Oversight Committee will continue to follow the facts and ensure accountability for the American people,” he said.

Since taking control of Congress earlier this year, House Republicans have set their sight on implicating President Biden in business dealings by first son Hunter Biden and eight other members of his family who made millions of dollars while representing foreign companies seeking influence in Washington. Bank records show that members of the Biden family received over $10 million from countries like Romania and China while millions of dollars in wire transfers implicate other family members and associates.
