New Connections Between Singer And ‘Dismembered’ Girl Found In Trunk Revealed

Authorities have uncovered stunning new connections between a popular singer and the teenage girl found dismembered in the back of his Tesla this month.

R&B artist D4vd denied knowing the whereabouts of his own electric vehicle after the putrefied remains of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas were discovered in a Los Angeles tow yard. Now, forensic evidence is linking the singer to Rivas and leading investigators to believe they were in some type of romantic relationship prior to her violent death.

According to the girl’s mother, she revealed shortly before disappearing that she had a new boyfriend named “David.” An autopsy also revealed that Rivas shared the same tattoo design as one worn by D4vd.

Rivas went missing from her Lake Elsinor, California, home in 2024, her mother previously told TMZ. She had run away several times in the past before finally disappearing in April that year.

For five days, Rivas’s remains rotted inside the front trunk of a Tesla that had been towed the previous week, according to employees who opened the vehicle after it began to emanate a foul odor. Inside, they discovered the head and torso of Rivas wrapped inside a plastic bag.

The girl’s mother confirmed that she had a tattoo on her index finger that read “Shh…”, the same tattoo sported by D4vd, 20. Her body was found with black leggings and a yellow bracelet with matching earrings and studs.

NBC4 reported that D4vd is “cooperating with authorities,” a spokesman for the singer confirmed. He performed in Minneapolis, Minn., the night Rivas’s body was discovered before canceling other stops on his tour. The media fallout for the 20-year-old singer is already affecting him, with brands such as Crocs and Hollister pulling campaigns featuring D4vd.

Rivas was only 13 when she vanished, according to missing posters at the time, the NY Post reported.

“D4vd has been informed about what’s happened,” a rep for the singer told NBC4.

“And although he is still on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.”

A cause of death has been listed as “deferred” by the L.A. Medical Examiner’s Office.

ABC7 reported that police officers swarmed a house adjacent to the tow lot on Wednesday, where the Tesla was impounded. They were seen leaving the residence with computer equipment and other evidence but wouldn’t confirm if it was connected to the vehicle.

Residents who spoke with the station recalled seeing the Tesla parked in front of the home for several weeks. Others who knew Rivas described her as bubbly and sweet.
