Royal Family Member’s Shocking Cause Of Death Revealed
A tragic report on the death of Royal Family member Thomas Kingston revealed that the husband to Lady Gabriella took his own life and died from a “traumatic wound to the head,” according to PEOPLE Magazine. He was 45.
The inquiry’s conclusion, which followed Kingston’s death on February 25th, was announced on Tuesday in a statement on behalf of family members Lady Gabriella Kingston, Martin and Jill Kingston, Joanna Connolly and Emma Murray.
“It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother. Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family, and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing,” the family wrote.
King Charles and Queen Camilla added in a separate statement they sent their “heartfelt thoughts” to Lady Gabriela, the king’s second cousin.
“The King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family. In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family,” a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said.
Lady Gabriela is the only daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, who was the cousin to Queen Elizabeth II.
The couple married in 2019 at a ceremony in St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle attended by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who tied the knot there just a year before, along with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
Lady Gabriela is 56th in line to the throne, though is not a working member of the family. Professionally, she is a freelance journalist, though she and her husband were frequent fixtures at family events during their marriage.
The death of Kingston comes less than two years after the stunning passing of Queen Elizabeth, who reigned for 70 years and 214 days, serving as the U.K.’s longest-ruling monarch in history. Since taking the crown at the age of 75, King Charles has courted President Joe Biden and dealt with his own cancer diagnosis.
