Tuesday, a CNN panel discussion revolving around Joe Biden’s refusal to recognize that he has a seventh grandchild surfaced on Twitter. The panel lamented Biden’s decision and said it was “sad and disturbing on so many levels.”
The clip begins with host Dana Bash opening up that “this is a story that is sad and disturbing on so many levels. It is complicated. Families are really really hard especially when you have issues that we have seen in this one [the Biden family].” She continued by saying “But he is also the president and – again – he also has a political brand.”
Another panel participant responded, saying, “I think the striking thing in that…piece [detailing the president’s refusal to recognize his seventh grandchild]…is that this is all revolving around a four-year-old who has knowledge of who her parental grandfather is and that I think is the hard thing to reconcile both politically and just reading it as a human on the surface.”
The panel member added that “it is so incongruent with who we’ve been told Joe Biden is for…ever.” The tale of the unrecognized granddaughter is that she was born out of an affair between Hunter Biden and Lunden Alexis Roberts, a former stripper in DC. After initially denying that the child was his own, Hunter was forced to undergo a court-ordered DNA test that determined that he was the parent of the child. Hunter then came to an agreement in 2020 with Roberts over the sum of money he was to provide for child support.

When Hunter Biden tried to alter that deal, further litigation ensued that ended in Hunter having to reimburse Roberts for the child’s health insurance costs and giving Roberts and his daughter some of his paintings in exchange for Roberts withdrawing her claim that the daughter should receive Hunter’s last name (Biden).
Joe Biden has publicly refused to acknowledge the existence of the granddaughter and back in April declared “I have six grandchildren. And I’m crazy about them. And I speak to them every single day” to a crowd. Aides at the White House have similarly been told to not acknowledge Hunter’s daughter’s existence.
This is not the first time that Joe Biden has allegedly covered up for his son’s life choices. Paul Sperry, a senior investigative journalist, revealed “No, Hunter Biden is not a “first-time offender” [in reference to his gun possession charge]. In June 1988, Hunter was arrested in Stone Harbor, NJ, for “possession of a controlled substance.” Cops busted him doing coke in a car outside a party. He was cuffed & did 6 mos probation. He had a criminal record before it was quickly expunged with help from an influential U.S. senator [i.e. Joe Biden, his father] from a neighboring state.”
