The Left Media Still Giving Questionable Intelligence Officials Airtime To Speak on Trump and Hunter Biden

Despite credibility concerns regarding several intelligence officers, far-left networks have continued offering them platforms and airtime. These concerns come after intelligence officials proved they could not be trusted, seeing how they handled the Trump-Russia investigations and covered up Hunter Biden’s numerous scandals.

The former director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, was featured in “Don Lemon Tonight” on Monday. Clapper is also CNN National security analyst. He asserted on Monday that it is best to assume that all materials the FBI took from their raid on Trump’s home have been compromised.

He said, “That is the worst-case assumption that you have to make. What is the potential damage that could be done to U.S. Intelligence capabilities? That is, sources, methods, trade crowds compromised? That can get very personal in the case of human assets.”

However, Clapper’s recent words cannot be taken as it is, as he had given some compromising statements to the media in other instances.

In 2013, Clapper was present in a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing. In this meeting, he confidently assured us that the American government does not “wittingly” collect information on American citizens.

That same year recorded the event where Edward Snowden, a former NSA contractor, decided to publicize some secret information. Snowden revealed that the United States government is guilty of collecting data on millions of Americans, opposing Clapper’s testimony. He said that the federal government truly collects data on Americans through phone calls and internet communication.

As he was caught in a lie, Clapper had no choice but to apologize for his previous statement. He wrote a letter to the Chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, apologizing that his statement was “clearly erroneous.”

In similar news, Clapper once said on national TV that the Russian President “knows how to handle an asset, and that’s what he’s doing with” Trump. This happened in December 2017, and Clapper received several criticisms for his insensitive comments. After this, he was still invited by CNN to speak. He told Anderson Cooper at the time that he had no regrets about his comments.

Recently, the left-leaning network MSNBC interviewed him, asking him if he agreed with Trump’s speculation that the Russia investigation was a witch hunt. He replied that he did not share that opinion and believed the issue would grow on the former president as a dark cloud.

At a Trump rally in 2016, this same man commented, “I really question his ability to be, his fitness to be in this office, and I also am beginning to wonder about his motivation for it. Maybe he is looking for a way out.”

These comments, which should have reduced his credibility, do not bother these left-leaning networks as they keep granting him airtime. CNN and MSNBC alike have continually aired his opinion, inviting him continuously as though they intend to push a certain agenda.

These same networks also felt it was fit to invite a former FBI officer fired from the office to defend the FBI’s raid on TRump’s home. This same man was fired for several misconducts, including exchanging anti-Trump texts with his partner, Lisa Page. He appeared on CNN and MSNBC almost daily for almost a month, justifying the FBI’s raid.

Grabien Media founder Tom Elliott after seeing this display by the left-leaning networks, asserted that it was only smart to ban the disgraced agent from appearing on the screens. He is one of the few to get fired from the federal government for his performances and is not the type of person to be gracing tv shows like an expert or hero.

Left-leaning networks that provide airtime for these kinds of people cannot even be faulted, as the president himself seems to support and encourage their actions. Recently, he announced his plan to appoint Jerry Bash to his Intelligence Advisory Board. That much is expected as Bash was the man who singlehandedly helped the Biden family to cover up Hunter’s laptop scandal, insisting it was just disinformation.

Bash and Clapper are among the 50 intelligence officials who signed a letter to dismiss Hunter’s scandal as simple misinformation.

There are countless other instances where many of these intelligence officers who should have gotten discredited are still given opportunities to campaign themselves as” news sources.”

DePauw University journalism professor Jeffrey McCall said, “That establishment news outlets continue to recycle sources of questionable credibility also demonstrates a lack of hustle to seek out and interview other possible analysts who wouldn’t bring the baggage that people such as Clapper and Bash bring,” McCall continued. “There surely are other sensible people to interview on matters of national security and related topics who aren’t so easily identified with partisan angles.”
