Trump Shares Update On Tiger Woods After Rollover Crash
President Trump says he spoke with golf legend Tiger Woods after the 15-time major champion’s latest DUI arrest in Florida, describing Woods as a man “living a life of pain” because of his injuries, but insisting he’s “doing great.”
“I have” talked with Woods, Trump said in a Tuesday phone interview. “I think he’s doing great, he’s doing good.”
Woods, 50 — who is dating Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr. — was arrested Friday after rolling his Land Rover on Jupiter Island, Fla. Authorities say two hydrocodone pills were found in his pocket after the crash.
“He tested negative for alcohol, as you know, and he is under a tremendous physical pressure from his various ailments, you know, the back and the leg,” Trump said.

“He lives a life of pain. He has a lot of pain. He’s an amazing guy. He’s an amazing athlete. He does have pain.”
The president added: “He doesn’t have an alcohol problem, but he does have pain.”
Investigators said Woods appeared to be under the influence of “some type of medication or drug” when he struck a truck and flipped his SUV just minutes from his home.
According to an arrest report obtained by The Post, Woods’ eyes were “bloodshot and glassy,” and his pupils were “extremely dilated” at the scene. He submitted to field sobriety tests and told officers he had taken prescription medication, citing a medical history that includes “seven back surgeries and over 20 operations on his leg.”
A breath test showed no alcohol in his system, but Woods refused to provide a urine sample, according to the report.
