WATCH: Bongino Says GOP Primary Is Already ‘Over’ After CNN Town Hall
On Thursday, commentator Dan Bongino declared the GOP primary over after CNN’s town hall with Republican contenders.
Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, stated, “I think last night it’s over. I really do,” during a recent appearance on Fox News. He attributed his prediction to the media’s failed attempts to control Donald Trump.
“Because of the ratings. They thought they could, quote, control Donald Trump. I think we’ve learned for the last seven years now that no one’s going to control Donald Trump,” Bongino remarked.
Bongino also took aim at the performance of CNN’s Kaitlyn Collins during the town hall, calling her “absolutely hapless.” He added, “Last night, CNN thought it was gonna be the kill shot for Donald Trump. It turned out to be the kill shot for CNN. I mean, absolutely body bagged the CNN audience last night.”
Despite his remarks, Bongino clarified that he had respect for many of the candidates in the race. “I genuinely like as people a lot of people in there. I don’t really have a relationship with Nikki Haley at all,” he said. He praised Tim Scott’s story and described Florida’s governor as the best the state has ever had.

I'm still leaning in the direction of the CEO of CNN beginning to dismantle the iron curtain of cable news..
