WATCH: Chicago Mayor-Elect Defends Thugs Who Shot Into Crowds, Beat Women: “They Make Silly Decisions”
Chicago Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson addressed the press Wednesday regarding the violent mobs of thugs who looted stores, beat innocent bystanders savagely, and even shot into crowds.
During his conference with the media, Johnson doubled down on his previous statements supporting the violent teens in his crime-riddled city.
“Look, demonizing children … is wrong,” Johnson said. “We have to keep them safe as well.”
“Have you ever taught middle school? Do you know the risk that young people take just because they’re young?” he continued.
“They’re young … sometimes they make silly decisions, they do!” Johnson continued, apparently suggesting fatal violence is now considered “silly” in his Chicago.

Johnson’s most recent comments on the city he is set to take over echo previous sentiments he has expressed regarding the issue of teen violence in Chicago.
“It is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities,” Johnson said over the weekend.
“You can’t condone the looting that corporations continue to do every single day when they take tax dollars from Black, brown and white folks… That type of looting has to be disrupted as well.“ “Our city must work together to create spaces for youth to gather safely and responsibly, under adult guidance and supervision, to ensure that every part of our city remains welcome for both residents and visitors.”
Chicagoans may be yearning for another term of ousted Mayor Lori Lightfoot pretty soon.
One resident, who saved a mother and her teen son from a brutal beating by a gang of teens, said she was “floored” to hear at the police station that last weekend’s lawlessness was just the start with Johnson heading to the mayor’s office.
