WATCH: Katie Porter Gleefully Predicts That Trump’s ‘Demise’ Could Come From A Heart Attack
U.S. Rep. Katie Porter could hardly contain her excitement when predicting that Donald Trump will soon “meet his demise” during an interview with Pod Save America.
Porter joined the podcast — which is hosted by a number of Obama Administration veterans — to discuss her recent Senate campaign in California, as well as the future of the Democratic Party. To the second point, the far-left congresswoman argued that not every party decision can be focused on Trump.
“I think that the specter of Donald Trump looms large, and I absolutely feel that, and so people were like, we gotta think — every decision has to be made in tension with Trump,” she said.
“Soon, Trump will lose, or go to prison or, I don’t know, have a heart attack… I’m not sure,” Porter declared. “I don’t know what his demise is going to be. But he’ll have his demise.” As Porter predicted that Trump’s “demise” could come from a heart attack, one of the hosts interjected to say “we call that a hamburger from heaven.
“And the question will still be there, who are we as Democrats? What economy do we want? What society do we want? What’s our plan on climate change?” Porter continued. “These questions don’t become less relevant because of Donald Trump; they actually become more relevant because of Donald Trump.”
Porter recently came up short in California’s crowded Senate race to replace the late Dianne Feinstein, losing out to fellow U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (R-CA) and baseball star Steve Garvey, who is running as a Republican. Schiff and Garvey are now set to face off in a runoff election in November, though Schiff is heavily favored to win the deep blue state.
Porter — who has frequently referred to former President Donald Trump and his supporters as “election deniers” for questioning the results of the 2020 election — claimed that the race was “rigged” in favor of Schiff.
