WATCH: DeSantis Feels the Love When Surprising Fans at a Legendary Southern Rocker’s Concert!

It’s a dicey proposition for a politician or a polarizing figure to show up to speak, or unannounced at a concert, ball game or other public event. The left loves nothing more than to protest and show their true character with threats of violence and civil unrest, even going as far as to ask for apologies if someone like Ben Shapiro shows up to a trade convention. The right, for our part prefer comedy over condemnation. Even though every lefty in the world thinks every conservative is responsible for Jan 6, it’s not in most of our natures to get violent or ugly just because we don’t like someone.

Why do you think the left doesn’t have a catchy chant? The “Let’s Go Brandon” and the “FJB” chant have been going strong for years, and just keep getting stronger. Recently Florida Governor and political heavyweight Ron DeSantis showed up with his wife and kids in hand to pop onstage at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in Florida. Weird thing is, sure didn’t hear any boos! Quite the opposite actually. Check this out.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) made a surprise appearance at a recent Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in Hollywood, Florida, where the stunned crowd erupted in loud applause and chanted “USA!”

DeSantis appeared onstage with his wife, Casey, and their children, during the band’s show Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Now, we know Florida is a red state, so perhaps the love and adoration shown by the crowd shouldn’t come as a surprise, Or should it? People love nothing more than to let their disproval be known regardless of party affiliation. One need only look to the last Monday Night Football. Jill Biden was on the field leading the Philly chant, or so she thought. You can see the hilarious video here. Philadelphia is a blue city, in a blue state which fake Docter Jill claims as her own and they smoked her there. Yet in Florida when Heavy D and his family takes the stage, all you get is goose bumps from the USA chants and the deafening cheers. It’s amazing.

Lynyrd Skynyrd has made no secret of its admiration of De Santis.

Earlier this year, lead singer Johnny Van Zant and his brother, Donny Van Zant, released a new single dedicated to the governor titled “Sweet Florida.”

The song includes the lyrics: “You can take it to the bank, he don’t care what Brandon thinks at the White House / He’s fighting for the right to keep our state free / Well he’s taking on the swamp and he’s calling out Dr. Fauci / He’s the only one fighting for you and me.”

I was a child when Skynyrd was in their heyday. It’s amazing that they are still kicking and filling arenas. They have also never shied away from politics, famously saying that “Watergate doesn’t bother me, does your conscious bother you, tell me true” from their massive hit “Sweet Home Alabama”. I suspect much going on with the left these days bothers Lynyrd Skynyrd, does the left bother you?
