Veteran journalist Geraldo Rivera has taken aim at former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. In a sharp-toned rant, Rivera condemned Carlson, accusing him of “making a mockery of the tenets of journalism.”
Rivera’s remarks began with a strong statement, “You know, it was pathetic, really pathetic.” He continued by claiming that Carlson had become overly confident in his position, suggesting he had gotten “way too big for his britches.”
However, Rivera’s core grievance seemed to center on Carlson’s approach to journalism. The senior correspondent lamented, “The worst thing about what he did was the ruthless pragmatism that he displayed.”
Rivera painted a picture of a news industry turned on its head, with the media no longer guiding the audience but rather the audience leading the media down a potentially harmful path.

“In other words, it wasn’t the malevolent media leading the audience, it was the audience leading the malevolent media,” Rivera asserted. He concluded expressing his belief that “what [Tucker] did was unforgivable.”
