WATCH: KJP Gets Flustered, Abruptly ENDS Press Briefing: ‘Be Respectful!’
During Thursday’s White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre found herself in a tense exchange once again with African journalist Simon Ateba, leading to an abrupt conclusion of the presser.
The briefing took a turn when Ateba questioned the administration’s lack of engagement with African leaders and journalists.
“It is so surprising… that you can’t take a question from an African journalist,” Ateba sarcastically said as National Security Council spox John Kirby stood at the podium. Jean-Pierre then approached the podium.
KJP’s response, or lack thereof, to Ateba’s question was notable. “All right, we can end this briefing if it’s not going to be respectful here.”
The relationship between Jean-Pierre and Ateba has been notable due to a few blowups during press briefings. Ateba has frequently posed challenging questions to Jean-Pierre as the dynamic between them has created quite the White House rivalry.
In August the White House correspondent even sued Jean-Pierre for revoking his press pass, citing his First Amendment rights.

She can’t handle the tough questions by him – he’s the only one not afraid to stand up to KJP

She knew that the follow-up questions would reveal what "they" want to keep secret. She never planned to answer any questions today and she just showed the American Public that in her actions (or lack of).
