WATCH: Maxine Waters Suggests Elon Musk Hacked The Election In Hilarious Rant
Longtime Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) went on a doozy of a rant after President Donald Trump’s speech, insinuating that Elon Musk helped steal the election for him.
Waters, 86, showed up on grainy video at a recent online appearance where she declared that the American people “don’t know everything” about how Musk financed President Trump’s victory. Financial records indicate the Tesla founder spent more than $250 million on third-party groups seeking to turn out pro-Trump voters in swing states.
Most all of that money went to America PAC, an independent organization that hired thousands of canvassers to target low-voting conservatives ahead of the November election. A key ruling last March by the Federal Election Commission paved the way for the super PAC to coordinate its door-knocking efforts with the Trump campaign, potentially handing the president’s team critical data on which voters to target with advertising or other outreach efforts, according to the AP.
“We don’t know everything that Elon Musk has done with his high technology ass,” said an agitated Waters. “We don’t know what he’s been accused of by some as it may relate to the election,” a vague allegation that Waters declined to elaborate on.
The popular conservative account Libs of TikTok shared the video on X. “I was told that election deniers are the biggest threat to our Democracy…” they wrote.
In the comments, other users had plenty of fun calling out the Democratic congresswoman for election denialism and ignorance after suffering years of hearing the same shouted by her party.
President Trump swept all seven swing states on Election Day and became the first Republican in 20 years to win the popular vote, a feat that few thought possible. He even managed to narrowly lose in deep blue states like Minnesota and New Jersey compared to 2020 while picking up over one million voters in long-shot places like Massachusetts.
These states were not targeted by America PAC, according to the AP, leaving Waters at a loss to explain how similar enthusiastic turnout for Trump happened without the alleged cheating by Musk and his millions of dollars.
The 86-year-old, who was first elected in 1990, has had a rough go of it since the election. Last month, Waters had a public meltdown after DOGE staffers denied her entry to the Department of Education, where she tried to corner the cabinet secretary about plans to dismantle the department. When Democrats held a rally to oppose Musk’s access to sensitive U.S. Treasury files, Waters flew into a rage on stage, accusing the billionaire entrepreneur of overstepping his boundaries without being given consent by the electorate.
“We have got to tell Elon Musk that nobody elected your ass. Nobody told you you could get all of our private information. Nobody told you you could be in charge of the payments of this country,” Waters said.
