WATCH: Mitt Romney Was Furious After Heated Argument With George Santos At SOTU
One of the early wild stories from Joe Biden’s State of the Union address was one that didn’t even include Biden at all, it was a spat between Senator Mitt Romney and Rep. George Santos.
On Tuesday night when members of Congress began taking their seats, Santos and Romney appeared to have an intense exchange when finding their seats.
Many people noticed that their conversation but there was no indication on exactly what was said.

While leaving the chamber, Romney was asked about exactly went down during that heated argument, and he held back no punches.
One reporter with an inside scoop even asked Mitt Romney if he had told George Santos that he “does not belong here.”
“You just said you [Santos] don’t belong here…Why did you say that?” the reporter said pressing into Senator Mitt Romney.
Romney not only confirmed that he did say that but also went on a rant about Santos. Romney ripped into Santos for his lies which many reporters were able to catch on camera.
“I didn’t expect that he’d be standing there trying to shake hands with every Senator and the President … He shouldn’t be there … If he had any shame at all, he wouldn’t be there.” Romney told reporters in the halls of Congress.
