WATCH: MSNBC Host Throws Fit On Air After GOP Lawmaker Calls Her A ‘Democrat Operative’
A recent war of words left one MSNBC host sputtering in rage after a GOP congressman joined her show to defend the House’s impeachment investigation into President Joe Biden.
Symone Sanders, liberal host and former press secretary for Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-VT) presidential campaign, was joined by Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) who gave a line-by-line explanation for the GOP’s inquiry to alleged lawbreaking by President Biden and members of his family, most notably his son Hunter Biden. The testy exchange eventually got personal, culminating in Burchett calling Sanders a “Democrat operative” intent on defending the White House despite the avalanche of evidence against the president and his family.
“I do just want to note that, again, the documents reviewed by NBC News, they show that the president made $200,000 on his brother in 2018. The 40k you talk about, bank records that the oversight committee themselves saw, show that the president made a wire transfer when he was not the president to James Biden, the 40k. Payments were to Hunter Biden were for a 2018 Ford Raptor truck that Joe Biden purchased that Hunter Biden was using. I don’t know. I haven’t heard a high crime or misdemeanor yet,” Sanders said.

“Are you going to let me answer the question, ma’am? I know you’re a Democrat operative, you’ve worked for a Democratic consulting firm…” Burchett responded.
“We’re out of time, but we’re going to do it,” Sanders fired back. “I did use to advise a number of individuals. I have also advised some corporations and companies. But here I’m just here to be an advocate for the viewer. And I will ask you one last time, what is the evidence that the committee has that Joe Biden, while he was president, committed a high crime, misdemeanor or treason? Because that is the bar for an impeachment inquiry.”
“Well you have to ask yourself, ma’am, why does a vice president or a president get $40,000 through a Chinese communist corporation?” Burchett replied.
Before cutting Burchett off for good, Sanders reminded viewers that there is “no evidence” that Biden “committed a high crime or misdemeanor while he was president.”
Rep. Burchett, a notable conservative who voted to oust former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), serves as a spokesman on behalf of impeachment inquiry leaders like House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) and Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH), both of which have uncovered hundreds of bank documents tying overseas dealings by Hunter Biden to the president and other members of his family. The $40,000 “loan repayment” referenced by Sanders was made to the president by his brother James and wife Sara, both of whom have profited off Biden’s political fortunes for years and have a history of tax obligations. Hunter Biden is charged with more than a dozen tax crimes stemming from the deals which earned millions for himself and the rest of the family, deals which business associates like Devon Archer claimed involved Biden while he was serving as vice president. President Biden has denied any wrongdoing.
