WATCH: NFL Stars Hit ‘Trump Dance’ To Celebrate Sack
One of the NFL’s biggest Trump supporters is back with an encore after previously being fined for touting his MAGA hat live on air.
Nick Bosa, the defensive end and former Defense Rookie of the Year, showed off his “Trump dance” on Sunday after completing a sack during the 49ers’ 23-20 win over the Denver Broncos. Mimicking President-elect Donald Trump’s habit of pumping his fists to music piped overhead at his rallies, the 27-year-old Florida native was joined by three of his teammates as they shook their hips for the end zone cameras.

Just days before the election, Bosa was fined by the league for briefly interrupting another teammate’s interview and pointing at his white Make America Great Again hat. Sources told ESPN that the Super Bowl champ was hit with a $11,255 fine for violating a rule prohibiting any player from displaying a personal or promoted message “at any point throughout a game day when visible at the stadium and TV audience, including postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field.”
Speaking after his first pro-Trump stunt, Bosa said he knew a penalty might be coming. “I haven’t got one yet, but if it comes, it comes,” Bosa said. “It was well worth it.” Asked about his decision to don the cap, he demurred. “I’m not going to talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time,” he told reporters in late October.

Following the election, Bosa said that he enjoyed watching the results trickle in late into the night but declined to reiterate his support for Trump. “I don’t think my position on speaking about it is going to change,” Bosa said. “Clearly, the nation spoke. And we got what we got.” President Trump heard the message, writing on Truth Social, “Nick Bosa is a great player!”

Bosa has helped his team through a 5-4 season so far after they reached the Super Bowl last year. Fox News reported that he isn’t the only football player to pay homage to President Trump’s dance moves. Drake Bulldogs wide receiver Trey Radocha did a similar dance after scoring a recent touchdown against the University of St. Thomas.
Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris thanks in part to backing from other powerful figures in the NFL. Chiefs pro-life kicker Harrison Butker endorsed the former president shortly before the election, and so did Randi Mahomes, the mother of superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The pivot comes after years of “woke” initiatives by the NFL, including anti-racism messages in the end zone and renditions of the Black national anthem before games.
