Wikipedia Page For Dementia Lists Joe Biden As Notable Sufferer
Earlier today a Wikipedia page briefly listed President Joe Biden as a notable individual suffering from dementia on their website. This comes at a time when Biden has been facing intensified worries over his mental fitness.
The entry which has since been changed by Wikipedia editors was captured in screenshots before its removal, a common action of publicly edited platforms. Democrats at all levels have been questioning his capability to lead, especially as he gears up for another demanding election cycle.
Following a disastrous debate performance last month, there have been escalating calls for the President to undergo cognitive testing and to publicly disclose the results.
Despite the controversy, Biden’s campaign has maintained that he is fully prepared to be the president for four more years. However, sources close to the White House suggest that he is taking the calls for him to step down more seriously than before.
Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) conveyed her concerns about Biden’s mental state in a Newsmax interview on Thursday. “The guy doesn’t know where he is, and obviously over the last four years, it has progressed pretty substantially,” Hageman said.
“Clearly, he’s suffering from substantial mental decline. The Democrats knew that, most of the press knew that, but they have been hiding it from the American people. It’s a huge fraud.” She added, “Now they’re suffering the consequences of their horrible, bad acts.”
Before June’s debate, Dr. Ronny Jackson, the White House physician under former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, voiced his concerns about Biden’s cognitive abilities.
“I have sent five letters previously asking for President Biden to submit to a cognitive test, very similar to the one that President Trump got while he was president. And all five of those letters have gone completely ignored,” he revealed to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo.
WATCH:
Several Democratic members of Congress are now openly urging Biden to withdraw from the presidential race, voicing doubts about his prospects for reelection. Those who have called for Biden to step aside today include: Representatives Sean Casten (D-IL), Chuy Garcia (D-IL), Jared Huffman (D-CA) and Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Marc Veasey (D-TX), Mark Pocan (D-WI), Greg Landsman (D-OH), and Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM).
Family members surrounding Biden are reportedly past the point of encouraging him to run out the clock on Democrats’ calls that he exit the race. Instead, they are working with the embattled leader to plan when and how he ends his reelection campaign in the coming days.
NBC News reported that some of the president’s closest family members, including First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and his son Hunter Biden, are working with the patriarch to manage a departure on his own terms. Axios has previously reported that allies believe Biden may break the news as soon as this weekend, though those plans remain fluid, according to two sources close to the White House.
On Friday, Jen O’Malley Dillon, Chair of the Biden-Harris Campaign, reinforced Biden’s determination to stay in the race. “Absolutely the president’s in this race,” she said.

“You’ve heard him say that time and time again. And I think we saw on display last night exactly why, because Donald Trump is not going to offer anything new to the American people. He’s the same person he was in 2020. He’s the same person he was at the debate stage.”
