WATCH: Room Goes Dead Silent When Greg Gutfeld Invokes Tucker Carlson Live On Fox News

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld compared the ongoing advertiser boycott of Elon Musk’s X to his own network’s decision to fire Tucker Carlson, stating that both men present too many challenges to the ruling elites.

Several top brands, including Disney, Apple, Walmart and others have stopped advertising on X due to comments from Musk deemed “antisemitic.” Musk has clarified his comments and stated that he was referring to the ADL — which has targeted advertisers on the platform for more than a year — though the boycott has continued.

“Musk may be the last man standing between real freedom of speech and the suffocating block of the censorship Industrial complex which is made up of government media and tech forces,” Gutfeld said in relation to the targeting of Musk. “He realizes that advertisers have no spine and could be easily cowed by special interest groups in cahoots with political allies. If you don’t believe me, I got two words for you: Tucker Carlson.”

Gutfeld’s comments were met with shock from an assembled panel, as Fox News has reportedly banned its employees from mentioning Carlson while on air. The ban even extended to Carlson’s recent interview with the former president, which aired during the network-hosted opening Republican debate.

The Trump-Carlson interview ultimately racked up more than 70 million views on X, far outpacing the debate.

Carlson, who was the top-rated host on cable news prior to his puzzling departure, has found himself ensnared in legal drama with the network due to a contract dispute. As part of the contract, Carlson was barred from signing a contract with a number of cable news competitors, though nothing was said about Twitter/X.

Carlson started broadcasting on X shortly after his Fox News tenure ended and has continued to do so. That has not stopped Fox News from sending him a cease-and-desist letter, however.
