Another Mass Shooting Rocks Democrat-Led Chicago; Children Among 14 Left Injured

The Democrat-led city of Chicago, a city with some of the strictest gun control laws in the country, continues its streak of being one of the most violent places in the nation as 14 people were injured, including several children, during a mass shooting that took place on the West Side on Halloween night.

According to Fox News, the Chicago Police Department confirmed the shooting unfolded in the area known as South California Avenue and West Polk Street. Local authorities revealed in a press conference that among those who were injured in the incident was a 3 year old, 11 year old, and a 13 year old. Police then stated that the rest of the victims in the shooting were adults. One victim was hit by a car.

“Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown said pod camera video showed at least one car, and they believe two shooters opened fire on a crowd standing at the intersection for a vigil,” the report said.

“Police said the drive-by attack lasted only 3 seconds and the shooters fired randomly into the crowd. Brown said no suspects have been arrested and the motive for the attack is unclear. So far, police said no deaths had been reported as a result of the shooting. Police only said victims were in  ‘various conditions,'” Fox continued.

A bystander who was in the area during the shooting spoke with local media and stated he started helping those who were injured, but revealed there were not enough emergency vehicles to accommodate one of the injured children.

“We picked up another girl, a little girl, about 13, and we brought her to that ambulance,” the eyewitness recalled. “But the ambulance driver said, ‘No, we can’t bring her in because you have people worse.’ So we just sat her on the bumper.”

That same eyewitness also said he found a little girl who had a bullet wound under her knee and took her to a local hospital. Shockingly, the witness stated they saw an adult male who was shot in the head.

“He was on the ground and they were saying he was shot in the head, and he had blood everywhere,” the man stated.

You know, for a city that has such strong gun control, Chicago certainly has a whole lot of shootings, wouldn’t you agree? It’s almost as if criminals don’t obey the law or something. That can’t be right, can it? Surely if you ban guns the bad guys will give up using them as tools of violence.

That’s the kind of insane thinking that rolls out of the left. Apparently, they forgot we already have laws on the books against assault, murder, attempted murder, and so on. These laws have not stopped evil people from doing heinous things. Neither will banning guns. But trying to get that through to the left is impossible.

It’s not because they don’t know or understand how guns and gun laws work. It’s because the ultimate aim is to remove guns from the hands of the overall population. Unarmed folks are so much easier to control.
