Anti-Trump Actor MELTS DOWN After Network Gives DJT Primetime Interview
Actor and comedian John Leguizamo spoke out against the Spanish-language network Univision Friday, harshly criticizing the award-winning news program Noticias and host Enrique Acevedo for what he considered a “softball interview.” As previously reported by Trending Politics, Trump offered a stark warning in the interview that if the U.S. were to be drawn into World War III, Mexico would also be “wiped out.”
In a lengthy diatribe while guest hosting The Daily Show on Comedy Central, Leguizamo told the audience, ” I came back because something is [clearing throat] pissing me off. Univision is facing growing backlash after giving Donald Trump the royal treatment.”
“I don’t know what is more shocking that Univision gave Trump a softball interview or that Trump let a Latin guy into his house?”
“How did that happen? Did he think he was there to mow the lawn?” Leguizamo continued.
Couched in humor, Leguizama leveled heavy criticism at Trump’s appearance on Noticias saying, “For decades, Univision has been the channel that Latinos have trusted for news, whether it’s news about the world, or news about a sexy lady miner willing to go up against the most powerful woman in town, for amor,” he quipped flashing an image of the movie he described.
But he expressed concerns that although he finds “nothing wrong with Univision interviewing Trump,” the traditionally far-left outlet didn’t take the opportunity to “confront” Trump.
From here, the comedian’s mischaracterizations of Trump significantly stepped up.
“I thought it would be a dope opportunity to confront him,” for what he claimed were Trump’s “hardline anti-Latino policies,” adding “But instead of an interview worthy of Univision, we saw this caca mierda,” an expletive in Spanish meaning human waste.

After a less than flattering joke about what he presented as Acevedo’s potential admiration for the former President’s genitals he added, “just to be clear, we Latinos are not a monolith. There are some of us that do support Trump. In my family, we refer to him as the crazy uncle who doesn’t get invited to Thanksgiving. But that’s just my house.”
Leguizamo then leveled his critique at Univision as a network saying, ” as a news organization for the Latino community, Univision has a responsibility to fully report what a second Trump presidency could mean for them.”
He then made the exceedingly biased and groundless claim, “the truth is, that that shit is mad scary.”
Quite to the contrary, a recent Emerson College poll showed increasing support for Trump’s policies with him leading Biden among Black and Hispanic voters 47% to 43%. Biden’s lead among Hispanics has shed a stunning 11-points in recent months while Trump has effectively closed the gap to approximately 3 percentage points holding 42% support to Biden’s 45%.
Defending the networks’ interview with Trump, TelevisaUnivision CEO Wade Davis told the press, “We made a decision to adopt a strategy that is different than what some other major networks are using, which has been labeled as partisan.
“Univision’s news strategy is one that is non-partisan and objective, and we serve our audience by being welcoming of competing issues, ideas, candidates and parties. We are here to serve our audience, not any political party, any one candidate or partisan groups,” he continued, according to a report from Variety.
He added that Univision has offered “many interviews of a current or former Democratic President” over several decades.
“Further, we have offered, and welcome, an interview with President Biden on reciprocal terms and believe our viewers would greatly appreciate hearing from the President. Univision will continue to maintain this clear vision by giving Democrats, Republicans and independents an equal voice in the coming months, and my hope is that we will be judged based on the entirety of our coverage of the 2024 election.”
