‘Don’t Think Anyone Is Safe’: Rachel Maddow Loses It During Hilarious Episode Of ‘The View’
MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow joined her far-left friends at ABC’s “The View” for some shared hysteria over what would happen to them if former President Donald Trump gets back into office.
“I don’t think anyone is safe,” Maddow asserted in one of the most outlandish episodes of the 27-year program. Her belief was shared by “View” co-host Joy Behar, who kicked off the segment speculating about how she and her fellow liberal hosts would be in danger if President Trump wins another four-year term. The only thing on Trump’s mind is “retribution,” Behar claimed, saying “There has been a lot of talk about Trump seeking retribution if he gets into office for his legal troubles, for his personal troubles, for his hair, whatever. He always has somebody to blame, you know? So you said recently that you thought that you as an outspoken critic, could be a target yourself.”

The American Tribune, which spotted the clip, also reported that Behar believes she isn’t being “overdramatic,” saying, “Some people think that sounds overdramatic but I’m right there with you. I think that he is so vindictive that he will go after, however he has to, whether it’s through the IRS maybe, or even through sponsors to get us off the air maybe or you. How seriously should we be taking that?”
Maddow took the opportunity to raise her alarm about her “worry” that she and “everybody in the country” are at risk of being targeted during a second Trump administration. “Well, so I was asked am I worried about me and my answer was I’m worried about all of us. I’m no more worried about me than I am worried about everybody in the country,” she replied.
“I think it’s bad having somebody saying, ‘give me as much power as you can in this country so I can use it to go after other Americans, so I can use it to go after these subhuman internal enemies and destroy them.’ That’s just not a good system for anybody. I don’t think anybody is safe if that’s the sort of basis on which he wants to get more power. If he decides he’s going to go after you or me or anybody who is well known, we have resources, we’ll likely be fine, but I think there’s a pattern where he picks out individual people and effectively terrorizes them.”
WATCH:
Pearl-clutching on the ABC daytime talk show is nothing new, but observers have noted that increasing frequency of the five hosts’ tendency to blame every celebrity who refuses to endorse President Joe Biden, fact-check young voters of color voting for Trump, or blame Republicans for New York’s recent earthquake. Their level of fear-mongering is rivaled only by Maddow and other anchors at MSNBC like Jen Psaki, the former Biden spokeswoman and published liar who called House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) a “scary” Christian who would inflict untold damage on the nation as Washington’s top Republican.
