MSNBC Host Joy Reid Gets Heckled By Journalist, Melts Down: ‘You’re An Idiot!’

Joy Reid got an unwelcome escort into the office on Wednesday morning by a conservative reporter who mercilessly trolled the liberal MSNBC host.

Sporting her laptop and blond combover haircut, Reid at first gave Real America’s Voice reporter
Ben Bergquam a moment of her time as he saddled up alongside her in a crosswalk, holding his camera for a self-style video that Joy quickly realized she wanted no part of.

“Joy just wondering, do you think people with Trump Derangement Syndrome know they have it?” Bergquam asked, prompting Reid to fire back. “You’re an idiot!” she said wryly, but Bergquam was undeterred. “Second question: did you steal Trump’s haircut?”

“You’re a f****** idiot,” Reid said again as she rounded a corner. Bergquam let her move on, but not before asking if her haircut qualified as “cultural appropriation” of the former president.

Conservatives have targeted Reid for her past rants against President Trump and his MAGA “cultists,” as she declared in an August 2023 episode on her show. After declaring last year that she only got into Harvard “because of affirmative action,” commentators on X piled on, feigning shock that the liberal anchor is one of the country’s brightest minds.

Similarly, Bergquam’s followers thanked him for holding Reid accountable with his own humorous criticism.

“This video goes well with your post 😂😂,” one wrote, including a video of a fisherman pulling off Reid’s hair.

“This is GOLD!!!! You are hilariously savage my guy!! Best thing I’ve seen on here in a while!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣” another wrote.

“We hope ppl will start asking this question on air, lol!” added another while a fourth agreed her haircut is “[t]otal cultural appropriation!!!”

The seemingly endless number of past misstatements by Reid provide plenty of fodder for her critics. She was corrected after claiming that one of Georgia’s Democratic U.S. senators was fighting to overcome limitations on early voting. She criticized MSNBC executives after the dismissal of on-air talent Tiffany Cross, who Tucker Carlson claimed has a history of making anti-White statements and became a liability for the liberal network.
