Elon Musk Embarrasses Adam Schiff For Pushing Completely Fake News About The “New Twitter”
Following Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, liberals who remain on the platform despite claiming they’ll leave it for Mastadon (just like they said they were going to flee to Canada when Trump was elected in 2016) have gone absolutely berserk.
Why? Well they’ve been mainly losing their cool over the idea that free speech can be allowed online even if it hurts people’s feelings or means that non-regime-approved narratives get spread around by anonymous accounts. Freaking out about people’s feelings getting hurt was Rep. Adam Schiff, one of the January 6th Committee loons, who clutched his pearls and posted about a supposed spike in so-called “hate speech” on Twitter, saying:
False, hate speech impressions are actually down by 1/3 for Twitter now vs prior to acquisition @CommunityNotes
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 8, 2022
Responding, Elon responded with his own personal fact-check of Schiff, saying “False, hate speech impressions are actually down by 1/3 for Twitter now vs prior to acquisition @CommunityNotes“.
Commenting on Elon’s response in a tweet on the subject, George Papadopoulos said “Now you understand why they fear Musk!”
That response set Rep. Schiff off and he responded by saying “Hey Elon, under your leadership neo-Nazis, homophobes, and racists are flocking to Twitter. And spewing hate speech. Your denial would be more credible if it was backed up by any real evidence. And if it wasn’t followed by a bunch of antisemitic QAnon tweets attacking me.”
Later, Schiff tried attacking Musk again, saying “Elon Musk calls himself a free speech absolutist, to justify turning a blind eye to hatred and bigotry on Twitter. But when journalists report unfavorable news, they are banned without warning. The devotion to free speech is apparently not that absolute. But the hypocrisy is.”
Elon, replying to Schiff, said “Thankfully, you lose your chairmanship very soon”, referring to Schiff’s position heading the House Intelligence Committee. Adding to that, he said “Your brain is too small.” Those tweets were later deleted.
Though Elon later deleted the funny jabs, the content of them was true enough: Rep. Kevin McCarthy will likely be Speaker of the House now that the GOP has a majority and he has pledged to remove Schiff from his Intel Committee assignment. Speaking on that during a Fox News Channel interview, for example, Rep. McCarthy said:
“Another change you’re going to get, Adam Schiff will no longer be on the Intel Committee when I become speaker. I promised that more than two years ago. [Democrats] also used the intel community as well to lie to the American public. Should those people keep their clearances? Should those people still be allowed to have information? If they’re going to be political individuals, then, no, they should not. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what we need to investigate going forward.”
McCarthy has also pledged to remove Eric Swalwell and Ilhan Omar from their assignments and vowed to keep that promise now that it looks likely he can make it happen. Speaking on that, he said:
“Yes, I will. I’ll keep that promise. And one thing I’ve said from the very beginning, Eric Swalwell cannot get a security clearance in the public sector. Why would we ever give him a security clearance in the secrets of America? So I will not allow him to be on Intel. You have Adam Schiff who had lied to the American public time and again. We will not allow him to be on the Intel Committee either. Look, Congresswoman Omar, her anti-Semitic comments that have gone forward, we’re not going to allow her to be on Foreign Affairs. But we’re also going to stand up to what’s happening not just in the halls of Congress, but what’s happening to our higher education institutions, the anti-Semitism that’s going on on these campuses and others. We’ll investigate that as well and stop this to make sure that America does have the freedoms that we said we would keep and we would stand up to it as we move forward.”
