‘SHUT THE F UP!’: Yankees Legend Obliterates Keith Olbermann, Woke Culture In Scathing Rant

A legendary pitcher with the 1998 New York Yankees has had enough of woke corporate culture, telling reporters at Saturday’s Yankees Old Timers’ Day that companies like Nike and Bud Light need to knock off the grandstanding and stick to basic customer service.

David Wells, the left-handed pitcher for the World Series-winning team, showed up to Yankees Stadium with tape over the Nike logo on his jersey, according to the Daily Caller. If he were pitching today, said Wells, he would cut the iconic swoosh from his jersey completely.

“I hate Nike! They’re woke!” Wells told The Athletic. “We’re in a different world. It sucks. That’s why everyone should carry a gun.”

The 60-year-old was at Yankee Stadium as part of pregame festivities honoring the 1998 Yankees team that won 114 games — then an American League regular-season record — and won the World Series. He said that Major League Baseball has gotten soft on poor-performing players and caters to the liberal mainstream media now by hosting events like Drag Night, which got the Los Angeles Dodgers into hot water after they invited a group of drag queens dressed as nuns to perform during a game.

“I don’t care who it was, if he was in the stink hole — pardon my French, if you can say that now. I don’t know. But send that son of a gun to Triple A or Double A and send him a wake-up call,” the retired pitcher said. “They did it to me. They did it to a lot of us back in the day. You’ve got to send a message. I don’t care how much money you’re making.

“Send a message to them and let them go sit down there and think about it. That’s what you have to do. I think now they coddle them too much. They baby them. … It’s up to your peers to make you better.”

Failed news broadcaster and fired MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann apparently had enough of Wells’ words, writing on X that the pitcher “would drink wood alcohol” if given the chance.

Wells was quick to silence Olbermann with a reply.

“Keith shut the f*** up. Just because you never played the game and all you did was work for espn and talk shit on all of us players because you have a degree in journalism makes you an expert on putting Athletes down. And thats if you even have a degree. Stick to your politics,” Wells wrote.
