WATCH: Trump Slams Biden As ‘The Most Corrupt President In The History Of Our Country’
Former President Donald Trump vowed to defeat the “most corrupt president in the history of our country” and his “corrupt” Department of Justice while addressing supporters hours after his arraignment on Tuesday.
“A corrupt sitting president had his top political opponent arrested on fake and fabricated charges, of which he and numerous other presidents would be guilty, right in the middle of a presidential election in which he is losing very badly,” Trump told supporters at his Bedminster golf course in New Jersey.
He went on to describe President Biden’s extensive issues with classified documents, which were kept in lightly guarded office buildings and even his Delaware garage.
“Joe Biden will forever be remembered as not only the most corrupt president in the history of our country, but perhaps, even more importantly, the president who, together with a band of his closest thugs, misfits, and Marxists, tried to destroy American democracy,” Trump went on to say.
The sizable crowd soon erupted when the former president vowed to win and make America “greater than ever before.”
“We can take it,” Trump said.
Former President Trump was formally arrested in Miami Tuesday on 37 federal counts, including Espionage Act violations and obstruction of justice. Both he and his allies have repeatedly referred to the prosecution as a “witch hunt,” pointing to double standards in classified documents scandals involving Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and others.
Trump’s legal team has cited the Presidential Records Act in slamming special counsel Jack Smith’s legal theory and compared the prosecution to behavior seen in totalitarian states like Venezuela or Cuba.
