WATCH: Ana Navarro Forced To Retract Ridiculous January 6 Lie: ‘I Misspoke’

During Monday’s broadcast, political commentator Ana Navarro made a significant retraction concerning her controversial comments she made about the January 6 Capitol riot in 2021.

Navarro initially claimed that two Republican congressmen, one being Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX), were seen holding a gun during the breach. However, after a commercial break, she corrected herself clarifying that it was not the congressmen but a Secret Service or police officer.

“Yes, I misspoke. I said that Republican congressmen had been holding the gun. Actually, we don’t know if it was a Secret Service or a police officer that day, but the one holding the gun, the two Republican congressmen were behind the guy,” Navarro backtracked.

Her initial remarks stirred up considerable criticism for her quick to judge moment. Nehls took to X, formerly Twitter, clapping back at Navarro:

“Today, the dishonest View said I was holding a gun on January 6th. This is a false statement and made with RECKLESS disregard for the truth. I look forward to a public apology from Ms. Navarro and speaking with their attorneys.”
