WATCH: Byron Donalds Eviscerates DOJ Over Latest Cover-Up Leak: ‘Destroying Our Democracy’

Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL), in an interview with Fox News host Mark Levin, strongly criticized the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the mainstream media over bias and a suspected cover-up involving the Biden family. Donalds alleged that the DOJ is complicit in leaking information to the press, undermining trust in the government.

The controversy surrounds Jack Smith, whose home location and activities are deliberately kept away from media scrutiny. “The only thing I know about that is that they follow him to go to Subway so he can have a photo op at Subway, which is ridiculous,” Donalds said.

He went on to decry what he sees as a lack of interrogation of Smith’s activities by the media, arguing that Smith’s investigative team is leaking information about criminal investigations to the press. This, he claims, allows them to control public opinion. Donalds slammed the media for covering these leaks without question due to their political bias in favor of Joe Biden.

Donalds said, “The thing that’s really starting to piss me off is that the Democrats lecture us on democracy. They try to lecture us and try to save the institutions, but the reality is they, with their media apparatchiks, they are the ones who are destroying our democracy and destroying faith in our institutions.”

The interview turned to the upcoming election, with Mark Levin asking Donalds about the implications of the Democrats’ refusal to accept the outcome of the elections. The two discussed allegations from Adam Schiff and Eric Holder that if Donald Trump is convicted of any indictment, they will push for his impeachment.

Donalds responded by pointing out what he sees as a pattern of interference and cover-ups in the last three presidential elections. He explained that the Democrats lied to the FISA courts in 2016 to cover for Hillary Clinton, covered up the 1023 FBI form and Hunter Biden’s laptop scandal, and are now trying to criminalize the Presidential Records Act in 2024.

Donalds concluded by arguing that the Democrats’ actions are damaging to the country, saying, “This is the Democrats destroying the very fabric of our country because they want power. They want to institutionalize their agenda. And to be frank, when Donald Trump became president, it was a pause in their ability to institutionalize their agenda, which is going to be bad for our country. It favors the Chinese. It favors the Western Europeans down this silly Green New Deal mess. And it’s bad for men and women in our country, no matter your politics.”
