WATCH: CNN Interview With Pro-Gun Maine Resident Backfires: ‘Wish I Had A Firearm’
In the wake of the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Lewiston, Maine, CNN conducted a live interview with a concerned resident. The discussion inadvertently took a turn, providing an unexpected perspective on the gun debate for the left-wing network.
During the broadcast, the reporter interviewed a local resident, expressing his worries for his family’s safety, specifically his 10-year-old daughter. The resident confessed that witnessing officers with guns made him feel “a million times better.”
“In a situation like this, I wish I had a firearm.”
Law enforcement officials in Maine have identified the shooter in Wednesday night’s tragic events as Robert Card, a firearms instructor and a member of the Army Reserve. Card was recently released from a mental health facility, making the situation even more complicated.
The mass shooting, resulting in the death of at least 22 individuals with many others injured, is now under intense investigation.
