During Tuesday’s press briefing, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy left White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre visibly irritated with a pointed question: “Why does White House staff treat [President Biden] like a baby?”
Doocy’s question came on the heels of a book excerpt claiming that Joe Biden felt he was treated “like a toddler” by his staff. The book suggests that rather than owning up to his failures, Biden complained to friends about how he was being treated. Doocy asked, “Was John Kennedy ever babied like that?”
Jean-Pierre responded by dismissing the claims made in the book, stating that there’s always a range of books about every administration with a variety of claims. “That is not unusual. That happens all the time. And we’re not going to litigate those here,” she said.
WATCH:
She then pivoted to highlight the President’s experience and wisdom, claiming that it had resulted in “rallying the free world against authoritarianism” and cited his handling of foreign policy issues like Ukraine. As the oldest president in U.S. history, Biden’s cognitive abilities have been a subject of concern for a while now.
REACTIONS:
It's not clear why that question needed to be asked.
Seems pretty obvious to me: Biden is not all there, so babying is required.

Not for nothing, but Peter Doocy is a lot of fun to listen to. Not just the pressers, but anytime he can question the administration. 😂
