NBA Star Rips Charles Barkley Over Bizarre Pro-Trans Rant: ‘What Does That Even Mean?’

NBA star Jonathan Isaac, a brash conservative who isn’t known for keeping his beliefs close to the chest, clapped back at Charles Barkley after the 11-time all-star went on a bizarre rant against the Bud Light boycott and “a**holes” who he claims discriminate against transgender people.

Isaac tweeted his thoughts Tuesday evening, questioning whether Barkley has his facts straight after he dropped several F-bombs during a speech and said he wasn’t afraid of getting “canceled” for going after “rednecks.”

“What does this even mean? No one with human decency want trans or gay people dead or without rights.. God bless them all.. but it’s 1000% valid as a parent or adult to be concerned about the observable movement to influence children. Is that hateful?” Isaac tweeted.

The controversy began last week when Barkley took the stage at the American Century Celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, offering free Bud Light to the crowd.

“I’m gonna buy some drinks for y’all. And I’m gonna buy Bud Light. And I’m gonna tell y’all something: All you rednecks or a*sholes who don’t want to drink Bud Light, f*ck y’all. Hey, y’all can’t cancel me,” said Barkley, according to Daily Caller.

“I ain’t worried about getting canceled. Because let me tell you something, if y’all fire me and give me all that money, I’m gonna be playing golf every f*cking day. As I said last night, if you’re gay, God bless you. If you’re trans, God bless you. If you have a problem with them, f*ck you,” yelled Barkley.

Isaac added he thinks it’s “wild” that Barkley feels he would be canceled for simply expressing his views, something that has happened to individuals and retailers on both the right and the left as America has struggled with the issue of transgenderism.

“It’s insane that In order to be the primary influence on your children you have to go to war against influencers, the media, movies, multi million and billion dollar corporations, and good people like Charles who choose to fall in line with empty politically correct statements and narratives. Nothing Charles said would get him cancelled and it’s wild that he thinks it would,” Isaac tweeted.

The Bud Light fiasco has continued into its fifth month since the formerly top-selling beer partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to promote itself, a decision which led to the termination of its marketing vice president and billions of dollars in lost revenue. Bud Light was recently dethroned as the nation’s top-selling beer and later went on to fall out of the top 10 beers most preferred by Americans.
