Steve Bannon gave a rousing defense of MAGA nation over the weekend, telling a conference full of conservatives that President Joe Biden’s days are numbered and Americans are waking up to the need for a return by former President Donald Trump.

In a fiery speech at Turning Point USA’s Americafest, the “War Room” host and former Trump advisor said the president’s defenders are at war with corporate shills and globalists intent on stalling or stopping the reforms planned by Trump should he win a second term.

“We’re at war, are you ready to fight?” Bannon began in a clip grabbed by The Post Millennial. “Are they gonna give you your country back? Are they gonna pat you on the head and say, ‘yeah, you can take it from the deep state, you can take it from the administrative state’? Are they gonna give it to you? Are you gonna have to take it?”

“The army of the awakened, the army of the awakened. You are the vanguard of that, you understand your responsibility? You understand your duty? You understand everything that’s on your shoulders, do you? We have an army of the awakened in this nation now and you’re the vanguard of that. You are the force recon. You are the rangers, you’re the pathfinders. You’re the leaders of the most important political movement in this nation since 1773,” Bannon said.

“They’re coming for you too because you have Trump’s back.”

Citing recent polls showing President Trump’s support growing among voters of color, Bannon credited the MAGA faithful with an unrelenting pressure campaign against mainstream media to remind voters of the healthy economy and peaceful world under Trump’s leadership, both sharply in contrast with the domestic and international setbacks under President Biden.

“You’ve been the force multiplier. You haven’t backed down. You sent the message out there day in and day out and people are listening to it and that’s why they must destroy you,” Bannon said.

“This is the first elite generation in our country’s history that has taken a younger generation and trashed them. They are willing — they are prepared to destroy your generation to defeat Trump. To defeat Trump. They will do anything to defeat Trump.”

“They come after Trump because Trump puts you in the room. Not in the room, not in the deal. And Trump put you at the head of the table. God they hate that.”

Recent polling has shown Trump beating Biden in seven swing states, six of which were carried by Biden in 2020. The president’s low approval ratings have taken their toll on his mental state, causing him to lash out at reporters who raise legitimate questions about how he plans to turn the tide before next year’s elections. Conventional wisdom that multiple criminal indictments would slow Trump down proved to be wishful thinking as the GOP frontrunner continues to garner more than 60 percent support among Republican primary voters.
