WATCH: Platinum Rapper Leads College Students In A ‘We Want Trump’ Chant
Video footage from an Ole Miss party shows “Gucci Gang” rapper Lil Pump leading students in a “we love Trump” chant.
Lil Pump previously endorsed Trump at a rally ahead of the 2020 election. “Mr. President, I’ve come here to say Mr. President, I appreciate everything you’ve done for our country,” Pump said. “You brought the troops home and you are doing the right thing. MAGA 2020! Do not vote for Sleepy Joe at all!”
Pump has continued his support for Trump as the 2020 election nears.
The former president has received endorsements from a number of hip-hop stars in his quest to return to the White House. Earlier this month, Waka Flocka Flame became the latest artist to hop aboard the Trump train.
His support came just one week after fellow hip hop star Sexyy Red announced her support for President Trump on a podcast where she reminded listeners about the former president’s Covid-19 relief funds for Black Americans and reform efforts around incarceration.
“We need him back, ‘cause them checks? Oooh, yeah, them stimulus checks,” Sexyy Red said. “Trump, we miss you.”
Trump has also received endorsements from Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Benny The Butcher, Kodak Black and a number of others.
In one wild turn of events, a rapper who wrote a song titled “F** Donald Trump” prior to the 2016 election, has conceded that Trump is increasingly popular among Black Americans. “To me it seems like more black guys will mess with Trump because he seems more like connected to the culture a little bit,” rapper YG said during a recent podcast appearance.
Approximately one in five Black Americans now support President Trump’s reelection campaign, an eye-popping percentage given the single-digit support he enjoyed during his first term.
