MUST-READ: Trump Campaign Issues Scathing Response To ‘Absolute Abomination’ Gag Order

Following the unprecedented imposition of a gag order from U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, the campaign of former President Donald J. Trump issued a scathing press release excoriating Chutkan and the court for an order that he called “an absolute abomination.”

As previously reported by Trending Politics News, the order now in place prevents Trump and his entire legal team and any “related parties” from making any public comments that target Special Counsel Jack Smith, his legal team, Chutkan’s staff, or any other Court personnel. In particular, Chutkan forbade comments regarding the families of these individuals.

In his statement published on DonaldJTrump.com, and emailed to millions of Americans, a Trump spokesman wrote,

“Today’s decision is an absolute abomination and another partisan knife stuck in the heart of our Democracy by Crooked Joe Biden, who was granted the right to muzzle his political opponent, the leading candidate for the Presidency in 2024, and the most popular political leader in America, President Donald J. Trump. President Trump will continue to fight for our Constitution, the American people’s right to support him, and to keep our country free of the chains of weaponized and targeted law enforcement.”

In a post to TruthSocial, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene issued a response:

“Today, a Democrat judge issued an order gagging President Trump, destroying the First Amendment. The judge made her courtroom the Ministry of Truth. She said the case isn’t about the court of public opinion, yet she allows the media to sit in her courtroom, the very people who craft public opinion through their headlines and stories. Public opinion matters, and President Trump isn’t even able to defend himself. This entire operation is run by Joe Biden, his political opponent, and nothing more than election interference. This is the weaponization of government! If this can happen to a former President, the only question is, who’s next?”

Sharing the statement in a post to X, Republican 2024 U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake wrote, “This attempt to silence & imprison @JoeBiden’s leading political opponent is a banana republic tactic affirmed by a kangaroo court. This gag order MUST be immediately appealed, & President Trump’’s 1st Amendment Rights restored. In the meantime, I will NEVER stop speaking on Trump’s behalf, & highlighting this injustice.”

Greene responded to Lake in agreement writing, “Why do the Democrats like going after our 1st and 2nd Amendments This cannot be tolerated anymore.”

Speaking generally, no doubt to sidestep any court orders, Trump wrote to TruthSocial on Monday, “I’ve got eight separate lawsuits going on that have been started, or strongly influenced by, the Biden Administration, for purposes of Election interference. No wonder our Country is doing so badly in EVERYTHING, and is the laughingstock of the World!”

Prior to the order being issued, Trump fired off one more massive post to TruthSocial directly criticizing the “highly partisan Obama appointed” Judge Chutkan, “who should recuse herself based on the horrible things she has said”  and the “Leaking, Crooked and Deranged Prosecutor, Jack Smith.”

In full he wrote,

“Tomorrow is a big day for Democracy. A Leaking, Crooked and Deranged Prosecutor, Jack Smith, who has a terrible record of failure, is asking a highly partisan Obama appointed Judge, Tanya Chutkan, who should recuse herself based on the horrible things she has said, to silence me, through the use of a powerful GAG ORDER, making it impossible for me to criticize those who are doing the silencing, namely Crooked Joe Biden, and his corrupt and weaponized DOJ & FBI. They want to take away my First Amendment rights, and my ability to both campaign and defend myself. In other words, they want to cheat and interfere in the 2024 Presidential Election. Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before. It is strictly Banana Republic kind of “stuff.” These political Hacks and Thugs are destroying our Country. Let’s see what happens on Monday in Judge Chutkan’s courtroom. Will America survive, or not? I’ll be campaigning in the Great State of Iowa, where I am leading by 50 Points!!!”

Within minutes of the order being released he posted, “WILL APPEAL THE GAG ORDER RULING. WITCH HUNT!”
