BREAKING: Another Poll Shows Trump Beating Biden After Four Indictments

Another national poll indicates that former President Donald Trump remains the only serious contender against President Joe Biden in next year’s election.

The 45th president, who remains far ahead of his rivals for the GOP nomination, once again bested Biden among general election voters polled on who they would prefer to take the reins in the White House in 2024. If the election were held today, 44 percent would vote for Trump while 43 percent would prefer Biden. YouGov, which conducted the poll, added that President Trump’s support has gained four percentage points since its last poll while President Biden has lost one percent of support.

While the difference between Trump and Biden falls within the poll’s margin of error of 3.1 percent, the result is a devastating summary of the failures by Trump’s political and prosecutorial critics to silence him with four ongoing criminal indictments. The poll result mirrors those previously showing that support for Trump among GOP voters has only risen with each criminal case, culminating in a mind-numbing 60 percent support for the former president despite competing in a crowded field of contenders.

President Biden, mired in economic malaise, has lost control of Americans’ belief that the country is better off under his leadership. Two in three respondents told pollsters they believe the U.S. is on the “wrong track,” and 55 percent disapprove of the president’s job performance compared to 38 percent who support it. A whopping 63 percent of voters would prefer that Biden not run for a second term.

Challenged earlier this week on similar poll results showing dissatisfaction with President Biden, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took heat for claiming that Biden exhibits “strong” leadership by visiting a war zone in Ukraine. “I’m not saying he can’t walk,” quipped CNN reporter Jake Tapper.

Even some of President Biden’s most stalwart supporters from his first campaign are starting to suggest he is too old for a second term. Public spills, spontaneous naps, stumbles, meanderings, and zoned-out vacant stares have added to the unease about his ability to withstand the pressure of another term, even among a large majority of Democrats.
