WATCH: Democrat SHREDS Biden In Brutal Attack Ad: ‘Time To Pass The Torch’

President Joe Biden’s challenger for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination is saying the quiet part out loud in his latest ad attacking the incumbent: your policies have failed and it’s time to “pass the torch.”

Congressman Dean Phillips (D-MN) reposted a scathing social media video Tuesday using historic audio of former President John F. Kennedy calling for the nation’s better angels amid footage of Apollo rockets, burning Twin Towers, the death of George Floyd, and post-Roe protests. A female narrator closes the ad with a rebuke of the president.

“The threat is real. Trump is winning. It’s time to pass the torch.”

The ad, released by a super PAC supporting Phillips and carrying the eponymous slogan, comes after a new round of polling showing President Biden trailing former President Donald Trump in five of six swing states. Even deeper in the results is devastating news for Biden: He is losing swaths of independent voters, and support for Trump among Black voters is the highest ever for a Republican presidential candidate since the Civil Rights era.

The White House is on edge as concerns mount about Biden’s ability to push back against criticism of his domestic and foreign policies. But above all is apprehension about his advanced age; the president turned 81 on Monday and has a history of falls, stumbles, zone-outs, and other senior moments that continue to raise questions about his fitness. Advisors have launched a full-scale plan to outfit Biden with special shoes and smaller staircases to minimize his moments of fragility.

David Axelrod, the former top advisor to President Barack Obama and architect of his historic 2008 campaign, was privately referred to as a “prick” by President Biden after writing on X that the incumbent should carefully consider whether it would be “wise” to not seeking reelection.

“Only @JoeBiden can make this decision. If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s?” Axelrod asked.
